Welcome to Lyons Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)!

Lyons Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provides high-quality, dependable care for young children during the busy school year and beyond. Operating right out of the Lyons Early Childhood School grounds, our service is uniquely tailored to meet the developmental and social needs of children from Preschool to Year 2.

Before and After School Care

We offer comprehensive care on both sides of the school bell:

• Before School Care: Kickstart your child’s morning with a nutritious, balanced breakfast and gentle educational activities that stimulate their minds before the school day begins.

• After School Care: Give your child a space to unwind after a day of learning. We provide a healthy afternoon tea followed by a mix of structured educational programming and free play.

School Holiday Program

Our dedicated School Holiday Program offers full-day, wraparound care designed to keep young minds active and happy. The holiday program includes:

• Themed Days: Interactive days packed with arts, crafts, science experiments, and group games.

• Exciting Excursions: Supervised trips to local parks, cultural venues, or educational hubs around the ACT.

• Incursions: Special workshops, performers, and guest presenters visiting our centre.

• Healthy Meals: Healthy afternoon tea is provided daily, along with all program activities.

PEEPS Playgroups at Lyons

We are proud to foster broader community connections through our local playgroups. The PEEPS Playgroup is a relaxed, casual session designed for parents, carers, and young children to come together for fun, early learning, and mutual support. It is the perfect way to introduce younger siblings to the school environment or meet other local families.

• When: Every Wednesday during the school term.

• Time: 9:30 am – 10:30 am.

• Location: Lyons Early Childhood School grounds.

• Cost: Free
