The Role

 As support coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting people with disabilities, improve their quality of life through the implementation of their NDIS plan. Establish positive relationships with a broad range of service users and stakeholders, developing and implementing support plans, and coordinating with a wide range of services.

Our Offer

  • Salary range $74,416 to $78,321 p.a. plus 10% Superannuation.
  • Full time, fixed term until 30 June 2023. Based in Woden, with immediate start.
  • Salary packaging option up to $15,899 per Fringe Benefits Tax year, with an additional Meals and Entertainment package available up to $2,650 per Fringe Benefits Tax year.
  • Paid shutdown leave on standard working days between Christmas and New Year.

Experience and skills

  • Minimum certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability or equivalent.
  • Skills, knowledge and experience in providing direct and personalised assistance through outreach services, providing referrals, monitoring and reporting progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to build supportive respectful relationships with people experiencing significant life challenges, their family members and carers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government organisations.
  • Understanding and demonstrated awareness of strength-based and recovery approaches, social justice and citizenhood.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting activities to ensure the participant’s plan budgets are within the appropriate limits.
  • Demonstrated ability to be able to manage multiple competing priorities, have excellent time management skills and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a small team and a willingness to participate in team meetings and supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of the importance of personal and professional boundaries, ethical behaviour, policies and procedures.
