Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Service Managers

Woden Community Service is a child safe organisation, committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children entrusted to our care. We demonstrate this commitment through embedding of the Child Safe Standards in culture, policies, procedures and practice.

We are looking for experienced, motivated, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our team. The successful person will have a strong focus on quality education and care for children, the drive to develop relationships and be passionate about creating learning environments for our children, families and team.

Positive relationship building, guiding and mentoring staff, and ensuring that all administrative, quality and compliance requirements are met/exceeded are also an important part of these roles. These positions will be non-contact.

Relevant qualifications in Education, experience in management of an OSHC Service including demonstrated use of the My Time, Our Place and Early Years Learning Framework and current first aid certificate are essential for these positions.

  • $38.79 to $39.67 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience plus superannuation of 10%

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification relevant to the role
  • Three years’ experience working as an OSHC Coordinator or Early Learning Director/Manager or extensive experience as an Assistant Manager.
  • Knowledge and experience using My Time, Our Place or EYLF curriculum and National Quality Standards including planning, documentation and the Assessment and Rating process
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach
  • Experience in building and nurturing meaningful relationships in a professional setting

Under WCS policy, staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. During the recruitment process you will be asked to confirm your COVID-19 vaccination status or approved exemption.

Also to be eligible for employment, you must also have an ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, working rights in Australia, and be willing to undertake background checks required for the position.
