WYC Logo Design Competition

Brief and Guidelines



The Woden Youth Centre has been working for the community for many years, and now we want you to make your mark on it. The logo design competition is made for all young people, like you, to join this initiative.

The concept is very simple. We want a logo that represents who we are and what we do at the Woden Youth Centre. So, you must consider values such as inclusion, compassion, hope, responsiveness, integrity and social justice.

This is an invitation to use your creativity and show us your vision of the Woden Youth Centre.


All participants are able to submit works in the following disciplines: painting, drawing, digital media and printmaking.


The logo design competition is open to young people between 12 and 25 years old who live in Canberra.

Entry Forms

  • Please complete one form per participant.

  • Wherever possible, completed entry forms will be collected at the same time as the finished work.

  • Please note the design CANNOT be shown unless the form is completed in full and

Submission and deadline

Please deliver your work to WCS by Friday, 11 June 2021. Designs will not be accepted after this date.

You have two ways to send us your design:

  • Physically to: 26 Corinna Street, Phillip ACT 2606. Please print your entry form and include it with your design when you submit it.

Note: You can send us your work digitally by attaching it to the entry form. However, you must keep the original file so the YET team will pick it up to take a digital photograph (in high resolution) to display it at the WYC on the launch day.

Style Guide


The Woden Community Service colour palette consists of a plethora of colours.WCS colours

The focus of the Woden Community Service brand is its signature electric purple which should be the first choice colour for backgrounds on collateral material.



The Youth Engagement Team & Child, Youth & Family Services Program colour palette consists of the colours shown to the right.YET Colours

The focus of the Youth Engagement Team & Child, Youth & Family Services Program brands are black and white which should be the first choice colour for backgrounds on collateral material.




The gradient and colours at either end of the gradient spectrum should be used to add pops of colour.




Acknowledgement of Country
