The fourth quarter WCS Employee and Volunteer Excellence Awards were presented on 29 June 2017 at the Woden Youth Centre. There were lots of applause all around for the individuals who go above and beyond to demonstrate our values in the work they do each and every day.

Excellence in Volunteering - Hugh McGlinchy
Thank you to our valued volunteer Hugh for the great work you do to help with our Senior’s Social Groups. You are always happy to go the extra mile for those who need it and you support people in a respectful and dignified way.
Excellence in Child, Youth & Family Services - Heather Sutherland (Network Coordination)
Heather consistently operates in a professional manner and has strengthened the relationship between case management and the OneLink team.
Excellence in Child, Youth & Family Services - Lauren Bradley (Community Development)
Lauren is making incredible leaps and bounds in her role. She works tirelessly to ensure the safety and satisfaction of those she is working with in the community.
Excellence in Children's Services - Emily Tanner (School Age Care - Red Hill)
Highly valued team member, Emily, is the “fixer” of broken toys, computer problems, bumped heads, as well as strained relationships. Emily is always ready to help others!
Excellence Award in Mental Health & Housing - Anne Corver
Admiringly, Anne provides the best service possible for our participants through working respectfully and collaboratively with participants, volunteers, WCS staff and other services.
Excellence Award in Social Inclusion - Ferdinand Castro (Home Support Worker)
Compassionate, understanding and perservering are three words to describe this support worker! Ferdinand was able to turn around a dire situation into one that led his client to become more involved in the community.
Excellence Award in Corporate Support - Courtney Tanner (Accounts)
Coming on board into a role very far-removed from her previous role, Courtney made what was a very big mess into a process that is almost seamless. She has positively affected the lives of many WCS staff!
Team Excellence Award - Social Groups
The groups all represent the WCS values strongly, but more so in hope and community and providing a space that helps people to feel safe and supported.
