Heather Sutherland receives Betsy Award 2017

DSC 1238Heather Sutherland, our Network Coordinator received the coveted Betsy Award 2017. This traditional WCS award recognises an individual for their outstanding contribution to the organisation and is named in honour of Betsy Gallagher who served as our first Director for 15 years.

Heather always operates in an extremely professional manner. She is always available to assist in any way that she can. She has also strengthened the relationship between our case management and OneLink teams.

When she is working on a project, we know that it will be done to the highest degree and that the outcomes will be met.

She displays and practices the values that we hold.

She works with hope every day, working to serve families who are in high level of crisis and need.

She works with the community by rallying support around those who she is working to assist.

She operates with integrity and is always responsive to those she is working with.

Heather has gone above and beyond in terms of her work and stepped up to take on a new role that has allowed her to spread her knowledge in the Child, Youth and Family sector and expand the expertise of a new service that we had just launched.

She has been a huge support for the OneLink team in a time of change when WCS had taken on its whole operation. She played a key role in keeping the team stable and supported.

Well done, Heather!
