Chris Redmond, CEO or WCS, recognised the contribution of a number of staff members in recent months at an all staff meeting on 20 November.
Excellence Award for Corporate Support – David Hannaford
David has consistently proven himself to be a hardworking and conscientious team member, and has regularly stepped up in assisting his team with a wide range of projects over the past few months. David brings a wealth of expertise to their role and is always willing to explain his methodologies in order to help others learn. David’s delivery of ideas and insights is always considered and helpful. He is also a friendly and supportive member of Corporate Support and has become a real ‘back-bone’ of the team.
Excellence Award for Access & Support - Lauren Crane
Lauren displays a strong work ethic, the ability to take initiative, a positive attitude and a huge commitment to her role. She has always been pro-active in her work, developing reporting tools and quickly learning who the key stakeholders are. She takes a no-nonsense approach, represent herself and WCS professionally and is always forthcoming with fresh and innovative ideas, applying higher-level strategic thinking and an outcome-focused mindset to ensure her work is meaningful.
Excellence Award for Service Development - Richa William
Richa has worked exceptionally hard in providing high quality care to the children she works with. Richa has proven herself to be exceptional in her role and has an ability to form close bonds with all under her care. Richa’s approaches her work with compassion and responsiveness and has received much positive feedback from service users’ families.
Excellence Award for Service Development - Serafina Zanesco
Serafina is always punctual and ready to work, with no task ever being too hard. She is dedicated to her role and interacts with service users with great care and compassion. Serafina is always looking at what she can do to improve the quality of her service delivery and make the program more enjoyable. She is a great example of the values of Hope and Integrity and is a great asset to the Children’s Services team.
Excellence Award (Team Category) - Lyons Children’s Centre
This quarter’s team award recognises the hard work and dedication of a group that has consistently shown a high level of professionalism, a people-centered approach to their work and recently also displayed their ability to effectively manage a potentially dangerous situation under great pressure. The team of staff at the Lyons Children’s Centre dealt with an external threat rationally and calmly, contacting the relevant people and ensuring the security of the children and the site. The quick reaction of staff in responding to this threat led to a positive outcome for the service users involved.
