Jenny Kitchin appointed as new CEO of Woden Community Service

Jenny Kitchin will join the Woden Community Service as its new Chief Executive Officer in February 2019.

Jenny comes to the post from Anglicare where she served as Executive Manager of Child, Youth and Family Services overseeing out-of-home care, youth, family housing and homelessness services.

In welcoming her, the WCS Board Chair Jennifer Bennett said:

“I am delighted to announce that Jenny Kitchin will be joining Woden Community Service as Chief Executive Officer in February 2019. Jenny has extensive experience in the community sector and within ACT Government, and is currently working as a general manager of Out of Home Care for Anglicare in NSW.

“Jenny’s intelligence, insight, compassion and leadership are clear. She will lead WCS confidently into the next chapter of our story and with the unanimous support of the Board, we believe Jenny is the best person to lead Woden Community Service.”

Jenny is a community services leader with significant experience both in the government and community sectors.

Prior to Anglicare, Jenny was a senior executive in the ACT Community Services Directorate and the Regional Director of Barnardos Australia (ACT). She has a deep understanding of community sector issues and represents Anglicare on a number of forums in the ACT.

Jenny will replace current WCS CEO Chris Redmond who is leaving the WCS in December 2018. Chris has led the WCS over the last 14 years growing and expanding the services provided by the organization to the Canberra community.
