Hayden Page wins Youth Work Champion in the Yogie Awards

WCS is very proud to announce that our Team Leader of the Youth Engagement Team (YET), Hayden Page, was awarded Youth Work Champion in the Yogie Awards on 30 November 2018.

The Yogie Awards are an initiative of the Youth Coalition of the ACT that recognize, celebrate, promote and reward outstanding practice in working with young people in the ACT and surrounding area.

Hayden was recognized for his capacity to welcome every young person who accesses the YET programs at the Woden Youth Centre and his adaptability in providing a wide range of supports.

Hayden has identified gaps and needs in youth support in the Woden area and implemented programs to fill these gaps. He constantly looks for ways to develop and improve his own individual practice through many avenues of his work.

Hayden is also a ‘go to’ person for other youth workers who need ideas, help, feedback or a debrief. His dedication to young people, support of other youth workers, professionalism, integrity, and cheeky sense of humour is well known to many people in the youth and community sector.
