WCS’s celebration of 50 years of service continues

WCS 50 years2019 marks 50 years of service of Woden Community Service to our local community and we are holding a number of events to celebrate this marvelous milestone.

We kicked off the celebrations in July by bringing together those that were around from the very beginning, acknowledging their contribution and sharing in their memories. It was a fabulous afternoon and you can see pictures and read more about it here: A hall full of memories: Woden Community Service celebrates 50 years with volunteers

The celebrations are continuing in November with the Woden Community Day from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 9 November in the Woden Town Square. Please join us for a fun filled day of music, food, entertainment and activities.

As well as celebrating our 50th anniversary, we will be showcasing what we offer to the community today. Find out more here: https://woden-community-day-free.eventbrite.com.au

It was also exactly 30 years ago that the Woden Youth Centre was first opened. A special celebration of this from 4 to 6pm on Friday 29 November at the Woden Youth Centre. If you were involved at any time in the Woden Youth Centre please save the date and we encourage you to get in touch by contacting the Youth Engagement Team (YET) on 6282 3037.
