Woden Community Service (WCS) is seeking expressions of interest in traineeships in the following service and support areas:

  • Early Childhood Education and Care
  • School Aged Education and Care
  • Disability Support
  • Aged Care
  • Mental Health Services
  • Housing and Homeless Services
  • Facilities Services

WCS provides a broad range of community services aimed at building connected communities and enriching people’s lives. WCS is committed to providing career pathways for people wanting to work in care and support roles.

Opportunities available for general and Indigenous traineeships.

No experience is required for entry-level traineeships.  An interest in working in community services, studying and a positive attitude is all that is required!

Qualifications for entry-level roles include Certificate III and Certificate IV e.g. Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability or Ageing Support.

WCS is also offering traineeships for those already working in the industry who would like to consider an opportunity to further their career development with us through studying Certificate IV or Diploma qualifications.

If you are successful in being considered for a traineeship, you will need to:

  1. Have an ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) card or applied for WWVP registration with Access Canberra
  2. Have working rights in Australia
  3. Be willing to do a police check
  4. Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
