We’re committed to delivering a high-quality experience for the families who use our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Early Learning services. While preparing to transition to a new platform, Kangarootime, we’ve decided to pause the rollout across some of our sites until further notice. 

Why the Pause? 

As we moved our first group of services to Kangarootime, some technical issues emerged during migration from our current platforms, QikKids and My Family Lounge. These issues affected account accuracy and communication functions. 

To avoid further complications and confusion for families, we’ve decided to pause the platform transition while we work closely with Kangarootime to resolve these challenges and ensure a smooth, consistent experience across all sites. 

What This Means for Families 

• If your child is enrolled in either Torrens, Hughes, Griffith, or Wanniassa, please continue using Kangarootime as usual. These sites are now live, and we will keep using Kangarootime for these locations as we are confident that any issues have been resolved.    

• If your child is enrolled in any other WCS Children Services site, you do not need to complete any setup in Kangarootime at this time, even if you’ve already received an invitation to log in.

What Happens Next? 

We’ll take this time to: 

• Resolve technical issues in collaboration with Kangarootime. 

• Fully test and verify system performance. 

• Equip our teams to support you during the eventual transition better. 

Once we’re confident the platform is ready, we’ll communicate a new, phased rollout plan and give families ample time to prepare.
