National Volunteer Week is a chance to celebrate and recognise the vital work of volunteers and to say thank you.
WCS staff gathered on Thursday to acknowledge our wonderful volunteers. Lynton Sheehan provided insight into the organisation’s long history of volunteering. WCS was founded by volunteers in 1969.
Today more than 100 volunteers support our work in the community.
Kate Dawson outlined some of the varied and interesting volunteering opportunities available with the Big Issue.
A highlight of the morning was the draw of the lucky door prize. Greg Eggleston one of our long serving and very dedicated community transport drivers won the hamper and gift voucher.
Many thanks to all our amazing volunteers.
