Today our Duffy School Holiday program had a visit from Qcity Transit.
The children really enjoyed their excursion with the bus visit today.
The children spent the morning making Bus tickets to give to the bus driver before their trip.
Before taking off on our journey we discussed safety such as buckling up our seat belts, staying seated and not eating and drinking as per the signs.
We explored our local suburbs and even made a trip to Mount Stromlo!
We played eye-spy, bingo and had a moving scavenger hunt where we looked out for local landmarks.
We came by some road works and waved to the construction vehicles while patiently waiting at the stop sign. One of the older children drew our attention to some Gang-Gang Cockatoos which can be found in our local area with a very keen eye!
The children had a really great understanding of their local area, directions back to school and even the range of street names named after Dams and Rivers in ACT/NSW
