Mental Health & Wellbeing

New Path

New Path provides early intervention support to help people tackle severe mental health issues before they become a longer-term problem.

Continuity of Support (CoS)

Continuity of Support (CoS) provides ongoing assistance to people who were accessing specific mental health services discontinued in 2019 and who are not eligible for NDIS.

Transition To Recovery

Transition to Recovery (TRec) is an intensive outreach program to assist people to transition to the community following an acute episode of mental illness and to prevent relapse.

Way Back Support

The Way Back Support Service supports people following a suicide attempt so they can take action to stay safe.

Southside Community Step Up and Step Down (SC SUSD)

SC SUSD is a short-term community managed mental health service providing 2-weeks of residential and then 4-weeks of community outreach support.

NDIS Services

WCS provides coordination, one-on-one support & group activities under NDIS packages, including for people with a severe and persistent psychosocial disability.

Hoarding and Advocacy Support Service

The Hoarding and Advocacy Support Service provides support to people experiencing the impact of hoarding behaviours and insanitary property conditions.

Aged Care

Home Support

Our home support services assist you to remain living at home & in your community; working with you to meet your changing needs and maintain your independence.

Transport

Our friendly & reliable transport team take you to medical appointments, shopping and social events; offering a door to door service for a small contribution.

Social Groups

We have a wide range of social groups to choose from including lunch groups, walking groups and outings to local and interstate venues.

Care finder

We provide specialist and intensive assistance to help people in the care finder target population (senior Australians who need intensive support).

Housing Support

Supportive Tenancy Service

Our team works with people whose tenancy is at risk or who are facing barriers in establishing a private tenancy. Referrals are through OneLink.

OneLink

OneLink can connect you to a wide range of support services including services for families and young people, and services for people who are homeless.

Hoarding and Advocacy Support Service

The Hoarding and Advocacy Support Service provides support to people experiencing the impact of hoarding behaviours and insanitary property conditions.

The Little Pantry

The Little Pantry is a place where you can go in times of need. You can visit us and choose a small number of non-perishable foods and personal items.

The ACE Skills for Life is a free program which provides participants with foundational language, literacy and numeracy skills training in a supported learning environment.

Woden Community Service’s Community Development and Engagement Team is hosting “Care, Share, Repair – The Textiles Edition” on Saturday 20 May in Whitlam, an event which is all about sustainable fashion and embracing a circular economy.

Partnering with Canberra Environment Centre and local CBR artists, this event will see sustainable fashion come to life and take over the Innovation Precinct at the Suburban Land Agency (SLA) Display Village in Whitlam!

Browse loved clothing through the clothes swap or take part in our textile art workshops including visible mending and natural eco-dying.

Don’t forget to stop by the twining station and jewellery repair stations to learn something new. We can’t wait to bring you this event which is all about sustainable fashion and embracing a circular economy!
