Our NDIS program has been designed to support participants to reach their NDIS goals. We work with people who have a permanent and significant disabilities of all ages and focus on building independence, building skills and recovery.
Participants must have an NDIS plan with the appropriate funding allocated to suit the WCS service offerings and choose WCS to work with them.
Our NDIS workers are guided by a person-centred approach to practice. All aspects of the program focus on the participant being at the centre of all decisions and support. The person-centred approach focuses on prevention, early intervention and linkages to other services, supporting independence and well-being. The emphasis is on the participant and what they can do, not their disability.
The WCS NDIS program provides support in the following areas:
Our support coordinators are experts in navigating the NDIS for the participant. They focus on achieving the participant’s goal and tailoring support to their needs and unique circumstances.
We have support coordinators who specialise in supporting people with psychosocial disability, autism or intellectual disability.
We have a team of social workers who specialise in working with participants who have complex circumstances including complex mental illness, co-occurring disabilities and behaviours of concern.
Our support workers can work with participants in groups and in 1:1 settings. Our support workers have experience in working with participants who have psychosocial disabilities and intellectual disabilities. In addition, we are introducing an afterhours phone/online service for participants with an NDIS plan starting from March 2023. This service is designed to work with you to build independence and confidence, aligning with your NDIS goals.
